Meander Corner

In the Public Lands Survey System, when a boundary follows a stream wide enough (more than 3 chains) or a body of water of 25 acres or more, the boundary is fixed by a meander line and the point where that line first intersects the bank is called a meander corner. This term specifically names the boundary point established at the bank intersection, which is the mechanism used to describe how the land along large watercourses is bounded. The other concepts listed don’t describe this boundary point: mine surveys relate to mineral lands, metes and bounds is a different description method, and map projection is about representing geographic data on a plane.
